Top Questions

If my life were a TV show, this is how I'd describe it...
Mi to tha Lo is SoCal born n' raised. Pop culture freak, creative mastermind in training, and all-around thrill-seeker. Multicultural twists from the L.A. melting pot have afforded him the chance to view life through a colorful lens, slightly jaded but always positive. Though currently "working for the man" in the corporate marketing world, he still holds tight to his youth-centric carefree ways (hence the tiny shot glasses and whiskey bottle hidden under his desk). He's got a thirst for adventure and yearns to sail around the globe (twice) in a tiny glass-bottom sailboat. Okay, maybe not that extreme, but he'd love some business class tickets to Costa Rica. Any willing donors?

Music that's playing in my head right now...
Beats in my head at this very moment, Bad Religion, T.I., Gypsy Kings, Cut Chemist, Snoop, At the Drive-In, Gorillaz, Robin Thicke, D12, Pharrell, Outkast, Micah, Sneaker Pimps, Rancid, Portishead, Judas Priest, Van Halen, the Police, Nelly Furtado, Beach Boys, Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Upground, Ozomotli, The Cure, Morrissey, Black Flag, n' tons, TONS more.

My goals in life are...

I can't live without...
Text Messaging: it took a while, but now I'm a willing convert. So much easier (especially if it's someone you don't wanna have a long conversation with). Poker and bones, I'm digging the parlour games battles, both online and in-person for weekly tourneys. Running: I used to suck at this, but hard work and persistence have turned it into a fun and rewarding outlet. Someday I WILL finish that L.A. marathon! Family and friends. For sure. The Beach! As I write this it's a beautiful summer day in SoCal. If I'm not in front of a computer, I'm immersed in the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Good books and magazines…what can I say those old school reading PSAs really affected me. Tabasco/Cholula sauce on everything! Try it on cold pizza.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how Latino are you?

300 - Has Hollywood Gone Too Techy?

Posted Monday, March 12, 2007 at 6:51 PM

Ok, I admit I haven’t seen 300 yet, but from what I hear its got like tons of that CGI crap, like computer generated armies and soliders.  I’m seeing this a lot with big budget Hollywood flick and I gotta admit, I kinda miss good old fashioned stunt guys.  I mean the effects are good and all, but sometimes I feel like I’m watchin’ a cartoon instead of a movie.  Thoughts?
