ALMA Awards Honorees Announced

I already told you about the ALMA Awards' hosting tweak—that George Lopez will co-host with Eva Longoria this year. Now, a list of honorees and performers has been announced. Salma Hayek and Oscar De la Hoya will be among the honorees and Pitbull and Selena Gomez among the performers at the award show, which air September 18 at 8PM ET/7C on ABC. They are part of a show that just got bigger...and a bit weirder, focusing less on competition and more on celebration, but diluting the meaning of the award in the process.

So we busted up our marriages and had a hot affair—which we first denied and then blamed on the media's scrutiny and on living in an "unfair fishbowl." Eff it, right? Let's take this thing public. And that's exactly what Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes did this weekend by... going golfing at the Valencia Country Club outside L.A. and catching a Kings of Leon concert together over the weekend. This is what you left your spouses for? Damn, at least let us bust you stumbling out of a strip club with a dancer.

Every picture that Ricky Martin takes is like a dare. As in, I dare you to deny my gorgeousness. I dare you to deny my chiseled physique. Now he's daring you to deny his superior genes by posing with his two little engorged and adorable kids, Matteo and Valentino, who just turned 1, and twittering the pix to the world.

"I'm so happy!" he wrote. "Everything they do, from smiling to crying, feels like a blessing. This has been the most spiritual moment in my life."

J. Lo Hosts Dinner for Sonia Sotomayor

According to website gossipcop.com, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony hosted a dinner for Sonia Sotomayor, who was recently confirmed as the first Latina Supreme Court judge ever, in their Long Island mansion. The dinner was for 12 guests, most of whom were from the political world.

There are no more details yet on who exactly was there and what went down. What I wanna know most is what the conversation was like between the two Bronx-born boricuas. So I went ahead and imagined it:

Zoe Saldana Shines in Vanity Fair

It's already been a big year for Zoe Saldana, who made out with Spock (and looked hot!) in the blockbuster Star Trek and is gearing up for the biggest movie of her career, December's eagerly awaited Avatar (just yesterday, the movie's website crashed for hours as thousands upon thousands of fans signed up for free tickets to see just a 3-D IMAX trailer of the movie.)

Salma Grows a Beard, Plus a Latina Vampire!

How do you like our girl's new look? It's for The Vampire's Assistant, a flick coming out in October. Salma plays Madame Truska, a chick in serious need of a wax, who is part of the underground Cirque du Freak and who can pull her beard into her face and make it disappear. Freaky! Check out the brand-new trailer below, in which Salma makes a quick appearance. Not sure the movie will appeal to anyone over 19 but hey, at least it shows that Salma is willing to look less than hot for a role. Then again, I'm sure this plays right into someone's fantasy somewhere!
