Elvis Crespo makes a triumphant return to music with Regreso El Jefe through Machete Music, which highlights his professionalism and evolution as a producer. With new sounds, both experimental and urban, his latest album is full of reinvention and creative fusion. The award-winning singer-songwriter, who has received his fair share of nominations and recognition for top-selling albums, is determined to top the over 6 million worldwide sales mark he's already reached. This urban infused project, produced by Elvis Crespo and Robert Cora, was created with the help of several important names of tropical and urban music including merenguera Giselle and his former band mates from Grupo Mania. Elvis turned into a Merengue sensation with the launch of his solo career in 1998 thanks to the release of his first solo effort, Suavemente. Born in New York and raised in Guayanabo, Puerto Rico, he started singing at the age of 17. Lending his voice to groups like Willie Berrios, Lenny Perez and Toño Rosario, before venturing to form part of Grupomania in 1995. He was responsible for the mega hit "Linda es" which thrust the group into the limelight.
