Shalim Ortiz is a multi-talented artist. Shalim was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to renowned performer Charytin Goyco. As a child in Miami, he developed his musical and acting skills. Before completing elementary school, he had already been part of a much successful television show called "Los Angelitos" (Little Angels). His desire to expand led to modeling and hosting duties on various show. Shalim is also a musician who has written and recorded two Spanish language albums for Sony Records. He is currently working on his third album. Shalim has also combined his passion for music and acting on stage. He appeared in Oliver Mayer's cabaret musical "Rocio in Spite of it All." His small screen roles include spots on shows like "Lizzie McGuire," "S-Club 7," and Disney's "Cory in the House."
Shalim is currently the lead actor on the supernatural thriller "Guardian," where he's also contributed to the score and soundtrack. He can also be seen in the films "Spin," and the Spanish language "Yuniol."
