 One word to describe day 2 of Downtown L.A. Fashion Week: Deep. Our models were dressed in an all black, recession-inspired collection designed by Eduardo Lucero for an audience that included L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Tatyana Ali. "It's about limited resources," Lucero said. "Nothing was over $5 a yard. Creativity is worth more than money. The models are meant to look like widows, people who go to a spiritual place for solace. They're mourning the times." Model Latina Miami's Melissa and Codie were part of the live exhibit that also featured season one's Linda Moreno and Mishell Livio, who entertained the crowd by lowering her shades to show real tears. The girls wore immaculately tailored pieces which will be used for Lucero's show in Mexico City for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Not only are Lucero's pieces desirable, but they're wearable. Melissa is definitley showing her sytle and class. She not only represented herself during Model latina, but she killed it on the finale.
Melissa looks great! She also rocked it last night on the finale. I think that she did better than Christine and Codie at the finale. Zuleyka just didn't look "modelesque" to me last night. Maybe it's her height?? Don't know but I thought that Leticia and Melissa did better than her!
