Lisa Lisa is a Latin music icon. She’s the most successful freestyle artist of all-time (yep I said it). With Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam she produced hit (“Can You Feel The Beat”) after hit (“Head to Toe”) after, well, you get the idea. Aside from her music career, LL also developed a healthy acting career—you remember Taina, you ‘member. Below I bring you a snippet of my interview with the beautiful (and childhood crush of many Latinos) Lisa Lisa.

As I was opening the press CD for Cam’ron’s latest, Crime Pays, I couldn’t help but think about Willie Colon’s Crime Pays. Yes, that’s right Willie and Hector Lavoe released Crime Pays in 1973, before Killa Cam was created in Harlem. I couldn’t resist so I had to do a comparison. Check it out!
