Ahhh, yes, Fourth of July weekend, a time for fireworks, BBQs, and…celebrating the United States’ independence from Britain, of course.  How many people do you actually think will say over the weekend, “Man, I am so happy we’re no longer under British rule, who wants to chug a beer”?



Watch NBA basketball lately and you’ll notice a subtle, yet encouraging, trend: Latino ballers getting some serious run. The fact that players from Central/South America, the Caribbean, and Spain continue to assimilate into the game fills us all with a sense of pride, and might be the best thing to happen to Latino pop culture since the cancellation of Mind of Mencia.
