Various reports are saying Shakira will drop a new single this month and a new album later on. And boy am I ehhh! Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Shak Attack but reports also say the single will be available in both English and Spanish. Gag! Why do great/good Latin artists feel obligated to record in English? Yes, I know Shakira is a huge pop star now but her tunes still and will forever sound better in Spanish.  Just peep the videos below and tell me which lengua your favorite singer should stick to?

Looks like the recession is hitting even big Latin celebs like Ricky Martin. The boricua singer is selling his Miami Beach mansion for $11 million, according to several websites. The reason? The father of twin boys (thanks to a rent-a-womb) is spending so much time in Puerto Rico that he hardly comes stateside anymore. 

When I was 17 I worked at a Hallmark store and dated blanquitas; Christian Martinez, 17, and his brother Stevie Jr., 20, DJ parties for Diddy and travel to Japan for the weekend. WTF? Either these kids are trust fund babies or actually talented…it’s the latter mi gente.
