Relationship

I wrote about my friend Beth back in January. Not the same girl I wrote about yesterday. The one living with her boyfriend Carlos who she loved, but wasn’t IN love with like her ex-beau Mark.

Well, just a little update on the girl:

She and Carlos continued to date and live their mundane, passion-less life until Carlos finally decided to pop the big question. Then Beth realized she was making a huge mistake. There was no way she wanted to spend the rest of her life with someone that doesn’t make her heart skip a beat.

Dear Sexy Siren,

I’ve been talking to this guy for almost a month now and have been going out with him for like two weeks and I’m starting to like him.  And on some occasions he has told me that he likes me too! So my problem is that I text him and he either takes forever or he just doesn’t text back and I don’t want him to play games with me, but I just don’t know how to tell him. If I text him I don’t want him to think that I bug…
Sincerely,
Text Queen

Dear Text Queen,

I just realized that a friend of mine (read: A guy I used to hook up with) unfriended me on Facebook and to be honest, I’m much more offended by it than I should be.

Here’s the back story:

It’s the first day of spring…and you know what that means—more time in the sun, warmer weather, and lots of breakups.

You know what I’m talking about. It seems like every time the sun comes out of hibernation, everyone starts to realize there’s more out there. From their jobs to their weight and definitely their relationships…people want to start making changes. And be free. And explore.

Because it’s SPRING!

So sometimes I spy on other Love/Sex/Dating writers and websites…and you wouldn’t believe the kind of crap relationship advice that is out there! I’ll tell you, just because someone has a PhD, doesn’t mean they should be telling others how to date. I’m just sayin…

For instance, I was on the Today Show website and came across this Q & A between some poor woman with a MAJOR issue and Dr. Gail Saltz. This is her problem:

Los Angeles has sun, beautiful and outwardly fake people, and lots of malls that you can drive to, while New York has tall buildings, beautiful people who fake not being fake, and boutique-lined streets that people walk to. And among some of the many differences between the two cities are also the men.
