Model Latina Miami

Photos: Codie's Winning Moment

Jai Rodriguez set the trend in a perfectly snug silver suit.

It's always nice to see Model Latina contestants on billboards, TV commercials and music videos. What's even nicer is being able to clip pictures of them out of magazines and show them off to all your coworkers. That's exactly what I did when I saw this picture of Model Latina Miami runner-up Christine Juarbe. She's in the latest issue of People En Español advertising the Fiesta 2009, which took place in N.Y.'s Central Park with performances by David Bisbal, La India, Celinés Toribio and Dora the Explorer.

The fourth Thursday in November is a great reason to get together with família, stuff your panza and talk crap about Tio Charlie who fell off the wagon again. Thanksgiving started out as an awkward dinner date between Native Americans and the people who stole their land. Today, it’s a day dedicated to being thankful for what you’ve got. Here at Sí TV, we are grateful for the opportunity to showcase Latinos—who make up only four percent of on-camera talent in the U.S.*—every day.

Model Latina season 1 winner Jessica Caban and contestants Darlenis (below on left) and Leticia got red carpet treatment at Hennessey Latin Grammy pre-parties last week. Check out the mamis below doing their thing in stylish 'fits, flawless makeup and kick ass jewelry. I'm loving Leticia's choice of sexy Three's Company-esque black sleeveless romper.

I guess the early bird really does get the worm because our new Model Latina Codie Cabral was the first in line at San Diego auditions, as was our first season winner Jessica Caban. Watch our exclusive video of Codie as she transforms from aspiring model to high-end fashion catwalker.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Model Latina Season 1 winner Jessica Caban on the latest billboard for fine French cognac Rémy Martin. I was on my way to a Dia De Los Muertos event in East L.A. last night and caught sight of Jessica on a huge billboard in a red ruffle dress. She looks gorgeous! Jessica will grace billboards in North, South and Central America, as well as the Caribbean. Look out!

Finale Party Pics: Model Latina Miami

Model Latina winner Codie Cabral looked fabulous in a long skintight gown.

Model Latina alumns Linda Moreno, Mishell Livio, Melissa Gutierrez, and winner Codie Cabral got the opportunity of a lifetime—modeling for respected designers at Downtown L.A. Fashion Week. The lovely ladies helped spring next year's fashions on to the scene by live modeling for Eduardo Lucero, Julia y Renata, Elizabeth Mason and Violeta Villacorta. They all looked amazing and very fashion forward.

Jorge Ramón and I have more things in common than I thought—he's just as in love with Rihanna's style as I am, indulges in fashion blogs (Style Rookie is one of his faves) and got his career started at magazines. The NYC-born/based boricua stylist, spokesperson and TV personality was the first male editor at Seventeen magazine.

Christine Juarbe is not the Model Latina. And tons of our viewers let us know exactly how they felt about it. In an exclusive interview with SITV.COM the Nuyorican nena answered their questions. Christine talks about her amazing abs, being a tough New Yorker, and her blossoming acting career. Check it out below!
