My girlfriend Jenn can count two from her past, I know I’ve got one in there, Annie has a couple, and my friend Lynne says she can actually recall three of these situations.

I come back to the topic of Facebook and relationships A LOT. Only because it's so prevalent in our lives these days--you can find almost anything out about a person on social networking sites and see what's happening to them on a regular basis. But I think don't think that's helpful. It actually causes problems in dating.

I suddenly know what people mean by timing in relationships. I used to think they meant timing, as in, both people had to be ready to commit to each other or to want a family and a life together. But now I’m convinced that’s not the real problem. In fact, I’m fairly certain most people want to eventually get married or settle down and have a family because that’s an inherent feeling.

Who gets absolutely loaded, I mean, smashed, can’t stay awake and wobbly drunk when they’re trying to impress someone?

Ladies…I’ve heard a lot of horrible first date stories, but last night I think I heard the worst one yet. I’ll tell you right now, when you’re on a first date with a guy not only should you watch how many drinks you have (as not to look like a bimbo or get taken advantage of), but you should watch how many drinks he has too!

Today I spent the morning, as many people did, watching Michael Jackson's funeral. I was touched by all of the friends and family who spoke, those who performed, and by all of the fans who gathered from around the world to celebrate the life and death of the "King of Pop".

I got to meet a new addition to my friend Rachel’s family this week—Baby M. He’s tiny, cute, and as precious as any child should be. He’s also Rachel and her husband’s FIRST baby. That means they are learning about each other in ways they never even imagined and actually, one of the comments I heard from Rachel was, “When you have a baby, you realize just how good (or bad) of a relationship you have with your partner.”

I write about a topic that most people (unless they aren't human) are interested in--Love and Sex. It's also a topic that can be a little, hhmm, embarrassing, too revealing, ackward, not professional...you know--it's definitely not something you want to bring up around people you don't know, your elders, or anyone that you're trying to present your respectable self to...but it's my job to write about it! 

I just got an email asking if I think it’s best to wait to lose your virginity till you’re older…as in early to mid-twenties older.

Hhhhhmmm. That’s a really tough question. If you asked me that when I was 18, I would have said waiting that long is ridiculous because you learn so much about yourself and your relationships when you’re intimate.

I have never dreamed of getting married. Nope. I’ve just never been into it.

Funny thing is, it’s not the actual marriage part that I have an aversion to, it’s the actual planning of a wedding. I am not the girl who wants to walk down the aisle knowing I spent a year of planning and a small fortune on my big day. I was thinking more along the lines of Italy: maybe Positano, the beach, 10 friends and family, and renting a wonderful condo overlooking the ocean for a week. That sounds like a fun getaway that we will all remember, right?

You never want to be the person who likes the other more, especially when you first start dating. You know...the one who hopes and wishes that this relationship will turn into something serious, while the other isn't quite sure how he/she feels in general. Being the puppy dog sucks.
