As I was opening the press CD for Cam’ron’s latest, Crime Pays, I couldn’t help but think about Willie Colon’s Crime Pays. Yes, that’s right Willie and Hector Lavoe released Crime Pays in 1973, before Killa Cam was created in Harlem. I couldn’t resist so I had to do a comparison. Check it out!

Notorious, the Biggie biopic, is doing well enough in the theaters that its writer has just inked a deal to do a movie about Run DMC. Which immediately made me think of all the Latin music legends whose lives have yet to be told on film. Here are my picks. Let me know who you think should be added to the list.
