He may have dissed us for an interview this morning, but we still have major love for tall, dark and Chicano funny man George Lopez. Shoot, how can you not be proud of the first Latino late night host? Plus, a source who shall remain nameless (press weren't allowed at the live audience taping last night) said the show kicks booty. Expect Dave Chappelle funny skits and no holds barred humor.

Best of the Alma Awards

Quinceañera star Jesse Garcia stood out in a blue tie.

Sí TV will go behind the scenes at this year's Alma Awards hosted by George Lopez and Eva Longoria Parker, covering red carpet arrivals, who's wearing what and celebrity-studded tributes and performances.

Created in 1995 by the National Council of La Raza (the largest Latino advocacy organization in the country), the Alma Awards honors and celebrates Latino contributions in the areas of film, television, and music.

Thirty-five years ago today, Penelope Cruz was born. And that's all I have to say about that. Why dwell on it when 28 years ago today, a little girl named Jessica Alba, who would grow up to shizz on and then embrace her Mexican heritage, stink up the box office and make sour faces, was born. In celebration of the birthday girl, I put together this humble list of presents. ¡Y muchos mas, Jessy!

Mario Lopez has been the butt of more jokes than usual lately, with the self-described “actor-host-dancer-Broadway-star-author” getting dissed by half of Latino Hollywood. The latest? George Lopez, who says he will not be inviting Mr. Musculos on his upcoming talk show: “I want my guests to be themselves. If they’re not funny I’ll get rid of them. I only book funny people. Mario Lopez is not funny; people with those kind of muscles don’t belong on my show.”

Right about now, George Lopez is showing the middle fingers to ABC—which cancelled his well-rated show last year out of nowhere. That's because George just landed his own late night show at TBS.

The show, which has yet to be named, will debut in November and will feature celeb guests, live music and comedy acts. George will also encourage the audience to interact with him.

Barack Obama's election has made me all giddy about the possibility of one day seeing a Latino turn the White House brown someday. I've been fantasizing about this a lot as the inaguration approaches, but I'm a celeb blogger after all, so my fantasy president and cabinet are all from Hollywood. Here are my picks for the first Latino administration.
