So after being in Las Vegas for about 3 years I have finally decided that it's time for a change.  As much as I love Las Vegas, I know that there really isn't a fashion industry here.  So I have been debating between N.Y. and L.A.

Men's street wear has taken a drastic change for the better in more recent years. Gone are the baggy jeans that ruled in the 90s and back are denim that fit more snug, low-key tennis shoes, and classic pieces on top: the original hip-hop wear of the late 70s/80s. It's cool to see young adults rocking this ode to old school.

One of the perks about fashion writing is attending the annual GBK Oscar Gift Suite, a gift-giving extravanganza themed "Circus of the Senses." Think of it as one big swag party thrown by a high-end events company for Oscar nominees and presenters and members of the press.

My copilot, Sí TV host Christian Vera, and I rolled up to the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, where the paparazzi swarmed like bees, and indulged our senses inside five suites filled with booths and vendors gifting away their products in exchange for promotion.

I'm a firm believer in jeans and boots, especially when paired with a long sweater. It's the solution to all my frustrating "What should I wear?' mornings. Our very own Sí TV host, Christian Vera, couldn't have pulled off this style fix any hotter.

I read in the paper today that the French parliament approved a bill that would make it illegal for anyone, including fashion magazines, advertisers and websites, to publicly encourage extreme thinness. If an entity is found guilty of “inciting others to deprive themselves of food” to an “excessive” degree, the offender could be imprisoned or fined $50,000. This is in reaction to the death of model Ana Carolina Reston who at 5-foot-8 weighed 88 lbs. Yikes.
