Unlike your typical gallery with canvases and sculptures, Infinite Possibilities is teaming up with TAGUR shoes and 12 of LA's most prominent artists to display their talent on these new kicks. A great line up of LA’s own artists: NASA CREW, SLICK, MANDOE, NOEK, CRE8, CACHE, TOONS, TYME, & many others. Live music provided by none other than DP SOUND'S PHERS ONE, COUNTER STRIKE of Divine Forces Radio, 38 CAL project blowed, along with live performances from MEDUSA & PACIFIC DIVISION. This is an all age’s event, so make sure to take that little bro or sis of yours to expose them to this beautiful culture our great city of LA projects.

    I’m Inspi(RED)

As alot of you might have noticed while shopping for a new phone, sneakers, and ipods, RED is everywhere!!!  What's Red got to do with you? Well..for one, its a very simple way for all of us to help impact the lives of many in Africa.

When you choose to buy any (RED) product, that (RED) company gives a portion of their profits to buy and distribute anti-retroviral medicine to the men, women and children who are dying of Aids in Africa.

So many companies have joined in and become part of the (RED) Movement. Motorola, Vanity Fair, Gap, Apple, American Express are just a few.

So if you need some ideas on what to buy..here are some suggestions:

I really love what Converse is doing to help. They have created Make Mine Red. You the shopper get to custom design your own Chucks!! 15% of the net retail sales goes to Global Fund. I was on the site, and had a lot of fun designing a pair for myself!!

If you're a fan like I am of the soulful singer Joss Stone, buy her latest music video on iTunes!! She has contributed 100% of her sharings to Global Fund. Dang, she's talented, beautiful, dating my man Raphael Saadiq and generous!!! I LOVE HER!

So the moral of my blog is: shop wisely..and be a part of change =)

    love ya'll!!

I seriously wanted to blog about my new cream colored Nike dunks, but figured i would try to be outside the box with this particular blog. This morning i read the news and heard something that bothered me. A woman was denied health services  at the Martin Luther King Medical Center the other day. She ended up dying. And then there was the story about Paris Hilton's family taking cuts in line at the Twin Tower jail during visiting hours. Oh! And then there is the Puerto Rican Day Parade!!   Saw all the clips and blogs. Two years ago i went and had a great time.  But i thought "what can i blog about that is different and of interest/importance?"

    Mr. Chinua Achebe

Then it hit me. I will blog about Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe, who won the 2007 Man Booker International Prize for fiction Wednesday.  I have neglected novels and books thanks in part to the internet. But as i read this story about Mr. Achebe, i realized how far off our generation is from literature. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy a good picture book, but simply wanted to applaud this man who might never get love from Sitv.

Achebe, 76, is best known for his first novel, "Things Fall Apart' (1958), and "Anthills of the Savannah," published more than 30 years later. He has written more than 20 books, including novels, short stories, essays and collections of poetry.   Okay, back to my net surfing.
