It's about that time again!!

John Madden '08 come out tuesday august 14th!!!!!!!

Heres a lill history on the greatness that is Madden:

In 1984, EA founder Trip Hawkins commissioned Robin Antonick to create the original version which originally ran on an Apple II. When the Sega Genesis gained popularity in the early 1990s, EA tried again. Since the 2,000's there are multiple modes of game play, from a quick head-to-head game to running a team for a whole season or even multiple seasons. Online play, which was a new feature for Madden NFL 2003. In 2004, Microsoft and EA Sports announced that games made from July 2004 on would be Xbox Live-enabled. In Madden NFL 2005, EA Sports changed the game (literally…lol)by creating the "Hit Stick", an option on defense that allows the controlled player to make big hits that can cause fumbles. When running the ball on offense, the runner can control the direction in which the blocker is going. When the quarterback has the ball the joystick can be used to make receivers alter their routes mid-play.

Basically….in Lamens terms…..Madden is one of the dopest games ever made and women need to stop hating when the men in their lives play it. Go shopping….hang out with your friends…read……let us play in peace! We'll give you the attention you need as soon as were done….promise. LOL

This year's E3 is a different monster…  or maybe I should say little monster, since this year downsized version of E3 will be 20 smaller than past years; The Electronic Entertainment Expo is now a invite-only "Trade Show" and what's even worse: I wasn't invited.  Fortunately G4 is going to cover and broadcast live the three mayor conferences (Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo) as well as live coverage from the show floor.

Anyway… I just finished watching Microsoft’s press conference and even when I didn’t expect a lot from Microsoft this year I have to say that it left me really underwhelmed.

Basically it was a presentation for their holiday games lineup (a fairly good lineup by the way, a couple of accessories for the xbox 360,  A Halo 3 Special edition console, the announcement of Disney coming to the xbox live  video marketplace and Resident evil 5 coming on 2008 And that is pretty much it.

This is the MS Lineup for this year with most of them will be released by the end of the year:

Bottom Line:  Get ready for Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, and Mass Effect.  With Mass Effect in the top of that list, I’m really excited about this game and I’ll be writing about this game and pretty much all the games in the list in the next days.

Who out there knows about the new game "Manhunt 2"? I'll be honest, I wasn't too up on it, but I know about it now.  Why?  Because the news is all over it and there's rumors that it's about to get banned in the UK and most of Europe.  This title's gotta have some pretty extreme shit happening in it to get banned when wild shoot-em ups like GTA hit the shelves no problem.  Which in turn, makes people like me more curious than ever to check it out.  How crazy can it be?  The plot's about an escaped mental patients carving up victims with axes, knives, and syringes (might be pretty intense on the Wii).

So basically my point is, a game that would've probably sold decently will now most likely sell tons (when the Ratings approved version hits stores) because of all those curious peeps who heard the controversy online or through news stories.  Companies must secretly love this type of "bad publicity" because it spreads the word much more effectively than generic marketing campaign (i.e., cheesy commercial, ad in a magazine).  For the curious, the "Manhunt" is on to see how silly this game really is.

If you really think about it getting to and past first base is the toughest part in any situation….baseball and relationships are prime examples.

If you know anything about baseball you breathe a hell of a lot easier once your team finally gets at least one baserunner, nobody wants to get “no hit” or a “perfect game” against them!

Same goes with relationships, why is it that once you get past first base (and by first base my definition is your first real kiss) with someone you’re interested in its smooth sailing from there.  Not sure if everybody feels this way but I do (maybe I’m just a good kisser I don’t know).

The reason I bring this up is because Chien Ming Wang had a perfect game going last Sun. (Fathers day against the Mets into the 4^th inn.) and I was with a friend talking about the same topic in relationships.

As soon as you get that first base runner on the flood gates seem to open up and once you get past that first kiss it’s on.  I’m not talking about that first sloppy, drunk, 2:00am at a night club with some random broad kiss cuz that doesn’t count and happens every night w/ no work put in at all.  I’m talking about that 1^st kiss w/ somebody you’re actually digging and took to a game or dinner, ect…

Needless to say I didn’t get past first base out of respect 4 a friend but the Yanks did finally win, and the Mets did finally get to first base but a little too late as the Yanks went on to win 8-2 and take the series 2 games to 3!

Up until this last 3 game stretch against the sorry as Rockies in which the best offense in all of baseball (Yanks) scored 5 runs in 3 games in Coors field the best hitters park in the league, the Yanks were playing the best baseball out there.  We finally got our pitching in order and our bats going yet even after that stretch we’re still 10.5 games behind Boston!

They’re def. going to make the playoffs (and I have $ on that, thanks Philly) but if it’s the wild card they’ll be playing the Angels and I hate 2 say it but they have the Yanks number.  They need to make a push 4 the division title so they play Cleveland or Detroit in the 1^st round!

Well we’ll see…I’ll keep plugging away on getting past 1^st base w/ chicks I actually like and the Yanks will keep plugging away at getting the first base runner on in order to score more than 5 runs in a freakin series!!  I’ll keep you posted!

It’s arranged twice annually at the Elmia exhibition centre in Sweden and holds the world record (as recognized by the Guinness Book of Records and Twin Galaxies) for the world’s largest LAN party and computer festival Last winter they checked in 10,638 people!!

I’ll miss this one but I’m sending my people to cover the event for me!!! No, seriously… One of my most hated Counter Strike enemies (and good real life friend) Hax00 will be there for an awesome CS tournament and if something interesting happens you’ll be the first to know about it here… If you’re into gaming you know this is what’s hot right now.
