It has now been a full day since the night of our victory down at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, and we still can’t seem to shake that surreal overwhelming feeling. The anticipation of the night was a killer for all 3 bands and SiTV really new how to give it.

It was the final moment of truth with all 3 bands lined up in a separate room all waiting for their name to be called. The cameras were rolling trying to capture any reaction given while the judges were giving their final opinions on whom they thought should have won. This moment was eternal while seconds felt like hours. Ozomatli then opened the envelope and said “GLORY FOR THE PEOPLE!” T-Nasty said it best during our final interview with SiTV, “ What a feeling of accomplishment to know that something we created in our small garage would turn into something so great that others would relate.” I felt the most at peace for my band like a quarterback does leading his team to victory at the Super Bowl. The final Jam session with the guys from OZO and Upground was the highlight of the evening and took the vibe of our song to a whole new level. We enjoyed meeting many great new faces and exchanging contacts with others to continue to work in the future. We hold a great deal of respect for the other two bands ORGULLO CAFÉ & RUM BOOGIE, whom throughout the night kept a professional attitude and made it fun to hang with. We wish the best of luck to them and their future for they are all talented musicians and know where they are heading. Anyone of them could have easily been in our position, it just happened to be our night. I know I can speak for all 3 bands when I say how thankful we are towards SiTV for giving us all an opportunity to showcase our talent & lending us a platform for our voices to be heard. You truly were out for the band’s best interests and pushed us one step closer in making our dreams a reality. I know we will all take this showcase as a great learning experience and use it’s promotion to help the band succeed. We look forward to see what the road has in store, and know now more than ever how important it is for us to step up the hustle. Never be complacent and always strive for better because only GOD is perfect.

Thanks again to all those that put in the time to vote and help GLORY make it to the finals. Stay in tune with the FUNK and keep posted for our latest news and details on GLORY’s new album. LONG BEACH STAND UP, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!!

Today is June 20th, the days of all days.. To many others, this is just another normal Hump day Wednesday trying to make it through the week, but for all 1292 online voters, this is the moment we've all been waiting for. Tonight at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, GLORY is going heads up with two other great bands from East LA fighting to take home that check. WHAT CHECK? 10k's homie and a little more doors that might open from this. No matter how many times we've killed a BIG show, played LIVE on TV, or did great once the cameras yelled "ACTION," you can't help but to still feel nervous. This is that point where the business and future of the band has the opportunity to take it to the next level. Honestly, we need this. Glory has been grinding for 6 years strong with every year outdoing its previous. We have been very honored and fortunate to accomplish many things on our own without a major label or management behind us doing the work. The band has had great success playing on television, along with all our music videos in rotation on 24 different networks. Any other band would be content with this accomplishment, but not GLORY. We feel every struggle and pain we have endured is a learning lesson to this movement that GLORY is called to lead. We have purpose behind our music and our voice is meant to be heard. This is why this competition means so much to the band. The grand prize it great but this is not why we are playing (Don't get it twisted, we do need the money.) No disrespect to the other 2 bands, but GLORY is in competition with ourselves. We are our own worst enemy. Just winning the money won't cut it for the band. We are in battle with ourselves to leave a statement on stage tonight no one in attendance can deny. We know many great things can arise from this if we do what glory does best, BRING THE FUNK! Good luck to Rum Boogie and Orgullo Cafe as we have a blast tonight. Thanks again to SiTV for helping bands like us make it possible for our voice to be heard.. Let's do this guys!!!!

       YOUR WEEKLY GLORY UPDATE!

Glory just finished hosting the producers & crew of Jammin On Stage at our studio. The cameras came down last night to ask the band a few questions and capture us in the moment of creation during our rehearsal. Sad to say the band wasn't in full force. Our drummer who we now like to refer to as "Flakey Freddie," was a no-show for the night and left us without the back beat. This isn't the kind of news you like to receive a week before the BIG show. SAD NEWS PART 2: Joe Stephens (Glory Guitar player) dropped a bomb on the band by leaving to Spain on business for a month. Many others in this situation would pull out of the contest under these circumstances a few weeks before the show. Not us! Glory is a group of true talented musicians who are not confined to structure and able to rise to the occasion when problems surface. All and all we had a great time, cool jams, and a few CAGUAMA'S. Here's a few flicks from last night.
