These kidz are short of "Awesome", the only thing they lack is a real I.D.'s to be able to legaly drink a beer wherever they play…LOL.. In a year or 2 that status will change.

LAMC - Exclusive interview with “MALA RODRIGUEZ” by DANNY CA$H
Author: Daniel HastingsSi TV asked me to covered the LAMC this year for their Video Blogs and who am I to disagree if they want the kid on camera. I've been behind the camera for so long that getting in front comes natural to me.
I chilled with my boys Tony Martinez and Paul Estevez from Kinetix representing the awesome device "Zune" (Shout out to Gabriel from Zune as well). They had the only open bar of Henessy all day every day at the L.A.M.C. True players in the GAME.
Check out the dopest freestyle Mala Rodriguez (Machete Records) kick exclusively for the kid, Danny Cash and Si TV at the Zune booth.

Pop Lock and Drop It!!! Huey from St. Louis
Author: Daniel HastingsYour boy Daniel Hastings (photographer extraordinaire), doing it again, just finished shooting one of the hottest joints coming out this summer from St. Louis, Jive/SonyBMG's recording artist "Huey", with his debut album "Notebook Paper" and his mega hit "Pop, Lock and Drop It".
I'm sure you've heard that joint pumping in your local Hip & Hop and R & B radio stations across the country.
I was approached my MempHitz (A&R) and Jeff Gilligan (Art Director) from Jive Records to work the visuals for the album package, and they wanted an underground school sort of feel.
Here's the Album Cover.

I wanted to do something different no only on the concept but on the lighting aswell, so I rented 3 packs of Profoto, with Six Heads of light, a few flags and decided to challenge myself on the lighting set up, I wanted to give it a cinematic feel.

For the underground school concept, I rented some props, (old chairs, blackboards, notebooks etc) and went to the Phun Factory out in Queens (Graffitti heads know wassup) and shot in their warehouse. I also contracted "Meres One" to do a piece for Huey.
Check out Your Boy Daniel Hastings, Huey, and Rico Washington (Huey's Manager).
Peace…
Daniel Hastings

Author: Daniel HastingsDirected by yours truly, Daniel Hastings, in colaboration with Ben DeJesus of Diamante Pictures. Tone Capone, the VP or marketing for CMG records, hired me to directed the video and gave me creative freedom but said to me: "Just make the shit hot, Danny!!!" Sometimes that's a blessing but it puts a lot of pressure on my shoulders, and since Tone is like my brother, I wasn't gonna let him down. ("You guys let me know if i did my thing!!!! I couldn't do it all by my self") I decided to keep the overall color scheme dark and the lighting kind of gloomy like the twighlight, and wanted this powerful moon as the only source of light. David Irlanda one of the illest graphic designers in conjunction with Edgar Andrade from Diamante, the editor, created this amazing backdrop. There was huge latino support from cameos, Xtreme, Tony Touch, Don Dinero, Melissa Jimenez, Zion, Tru Life, DJ Camilo, Joel Ortiz, Aro from Fragment Crew and many more.. The Dancer on silouette is Melanie Torres a very talented sister, who gave the video the sensual touch it needed. Let me know how you like this video. Holla!! Daniel Hastings
