  • GAME REVIEW: Command & Conquer 3

I've always been a big fan of RTS Games (RTS = Real-time strategy) back in the mid 90's I spent at least 2-3 hours a day playing Command & Conquer Red Alert, Warcraft and Starcraft until 2000 - 2001 "mastering" (yeah right!) Empire Earth and Age of Empires.

But then I stared working and the good old days of gaming 3 hours a day were gone (I still play 3-4 hours a week though). The last good RTS I played was The Lord of the Rings "The Battle for Middle-Earth", and let me tell you: If you are into RTS you gotta play that game.

And since then I haven't play a RTS good enough to make me keep playing well over midnight on a Tuesday night, until…  last Tuesday.

I got my copy of Command & Conquer 3: "Tiberium Wars"

Wow!  I'm so glad that Electronics Arts decided to make a combat for one of the best Classic RTS, C&C3 comes with lots of awesome campaign features, a surprisingly big amount of quality full motion video; as usual super fast-paced and the game-play is simply AWESOME.

Just like the classic C&C games, Tiberium Wars' the games turns around -by now- almost eternal conflict between the Brotherhood of Nod and the Global Defense Initiative. and the game starts just after The Brotherhood of Nod has destroyed the GDI's command centre. I don't want to make this post boring if you're not into RTS so I'm just gonna say that there's almost nothing bad to say about this game,  the controls are great,  The interface is great and the multiplayer mode allows up to 8 player making it just perfect for the LAN party junkies.

The only bad thing so far about the game that I can think of is the voice-overs,  some of then can be annoying after a while.

This game is definitely a "BUY" and is the first game in more than 7 months that is gonna keep me away from World of Wordcraft for a while.

    Some screenshots… for free (?)

    Peace!
