Niña Dioz is running around New York City’s Roosevelt Hotel in search of Jack Daniels. It’s 3:20PM. Don’t judge the Mexican MC too harshly. She’s at the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) doing press and it’s her first time in the Big Apple. Now you tell me if that doesn’t warrant a shot of Jack. Alas, the Jack Daniels stand is fresh out so she stops by the Café Bustelo booth and grabs an equally as bad for your health can of iced espresso coffee. In her native Mexico, Niña is getting Drake-esque buzz and she’s prepping her debut album, Nueva Escuela (New School), for a stateside winter 2009 launch. In the below videos she speaks on her Nueva York visit, Cypress Hill and being one of best up-and-coming Spanish language female MCs. I'll drink to that.
