Latin Billboard Awards

Sure the Latin Grammys are fun, but when it comes to music accolades, its the Latin Billboard Awards that really matter. Artists take home these statues based solely on the impact of their sales.  Basically, if you're a hit with the people, you're a hit with the show.

So who struck it big with the public this year? Based on Soundscan stats, Juan Luis Guerra (who also just took home tons of Latin Grammys). His album, "La Llave de mi Corazon" grabbed tropical record of the year, which put him alongside some pretty well-known company like J-Lo (who won for her pop album), Vicente Fernandez (who broke records with a recent Greatist Hits comp), and Wisin & Yandel (who won for most popular song). Congrats!
