Dreams Do Come True / Billboard Magazine

Dreams Do Come True / Billboard Magazine When I was a little kid I would run to 'The Stone City Mall' in my hometown, Bedford, Indiana & go to the record store, The Sound Shop, & spend a couple of hours looking at their copy of the Billboard Magazine. I learned about all of the different charts, & artist of that time. The dance charts had always interested me not only because I loved to dance, a not specifically because I am a huge Madonna fan, but because the "dance club play" chart. I lived in Bedford, Indiana... I mean where did they play this music enough, in what club, that it would have a chart all of it's own? Though, I still dreamed of being on any Billboard chart with my own song that I had written.

As years have gone by I have relied on Billboard to teach me about the music biz & all it took to get your song out there. I learned that it always helps to have someone working on the business part of promoting your music while you work at the creative. I've been doing both FOREVER & one side always fell a little short because I could give one or the other my full focus. Well, I atleast got my song, 'in a song' to enough DJs that I got a pretty cool mix from one DJ named Puritain. This mix caught the ear of Michael Hades who was building a dance music label called Hades Music. Michael is a wonderful & great friend to work with so while I was jumping back & forth between bands, genres, & writing new songs Michael's focus for the past year has been 'in a song'. We had collected mixes of the song by French DJ, Mister Leonard, Michael Hades (himself), & Abe Sieferth. We thought at this point we were finished & was about to mark the project done before we found this amazing club DJ with a few "dance hits" under his belt who also wanted to mix  'in a song'. This was the mix that clinched the deal & we knew we had a hit on our hands. So much so that I have decided to make the music video to this mix rather than the original.

So like I was saying... as I was scrambling all over the place doing everything that fulfilled my creative curiosities while Michael was working hard promoting 'in a song' & getting it into the right hands. This hard work has truely paid off. This week 'in a song' debuted at Number 4 on Billboard Magazine's Breakout Dance Club-Play Chart. Slow & steady wins the race.

So now I know where they play these songs for Billboard Magazine's Breakout Dance Club-Play Chart. - ALL OVER THE WORLD! & in tons of dance clubs from small college towns to biggest cities. I'm still not sure who calculates this, but I'm sure glad that 'in a song' is part of the equation.

I still have to pinch myself when I see 'in a song' on the chart. Though this is the proof I have that having faith in yourself is truely important. DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

Thank you, Michael. Thank you, Tim.Thank you, Mister Leonard. Thank you, Abe Seiferth!!!! Thank you, Puritain. Thank you to all my friends & family for always being there. I love you all!
