Breaking Bread with Alvare-"Hip-Hop Pa Mi Gente"

I recently had the chance of interviewing the most dynamic Latino in the Game today! sit up and meet the cuban wordsmith- Alvare

by DJ Disco Wiz

What's up Bro, how you been lately?

Blessed hermano, working on a few projects right now. Monte Cristo Ent. will release a new Alvare Mixtape in the Spring and a new album in the Summer. Also, an exclusive album with Ark from T-Weaponz titled the CubaRicanz will be released in the Spring as well. Also, Monte Cristo Entertainment will be doing consulting, marketing, and promotions for the new year.

How does it feel 2 years after you Won the Best Latin Hip-Hop Artist UMA? - NYC Underground Music Awards

First and foremost, It was a blessing to have my fans, family and friends support me to take home the victory. I feel that the streets definitely let people know my music is for the masses. Since the win, it's incredible how many doors have opened for me. I have performed at bigger venues like the Calle Ocho Festival and Community Events throughout NY/NJ. I've had a chance to be featured in countless newspapers such as The Home News Tribune, Nuestra Communidad, and El Americano. I also received an award for my contribution to the community for 2007 from La Tribuna Newspaper in NJ. Also, collaborations with La Bruja, T-Weaponz, Thirstin Howl 3rd, Temperamento, and Rebel Diaz have helped greatly. From there, I am building and preparing for my future stops at the Grammy's, American Music Awards, Billboard...US and International..I'm going for it all.

Tell the readers a little something about your mixed tape series

My mixtape series is representation of Latinos in Hip-Hop since the majority of the features showcase my latino peoples. While I have other cultures in the mix, it's my latinos that are most represented. Also, the sound is fresh, new, and grabs your attention. Hip-Hop Pa Mi Gente brought a dope blend of Salsa between the mixes and gave people a nostalgic feel. The raw hip-hop gave it that edge and balance. My Life is Like A Movie made way to the concept of utilizing movie concepts and quotes while focusing on bringing out Alvare as the artist pushing his life experience in a movie type fashion. Artists such as La Bruja, T-Weaponz, Thirstin Howl 3rd, Temperamento, Patty Dukes, Enemigo, Reyes del Bajo Mundo, Mami Montana, Eternia, Rebel Diaz, SnX, and many more helped contribute to the uniqueness of the mixtape series.

Talk about T-Weaponz / Monte Cristo/ Defiant Entertainment

Monte Cristo Ent. does marketing, consulting, and promotions for the entertainment and business world including Defiant Entertainment which has T-Weaponz on their roster. Monte Cristo Ent. has successfully promoted the group and has helped in their "T-Weaponz for Presidents" campaign to capture a UMA victory for Most Dynamic Rap Group or Duo for 2007. Also, Monte Cristo Ent. has been instrumental in Calle Ocho, Community Events, and their legendary release party for "Just Begun". Monte Cristo Ent. will be set to have a record setting year with new clients coming aboard.

On "My Life is Like A Movie" you premiered the first ever all Latina symphony, break down that concept

The legendary Dj Disco Wiz (I think you might know him..) we began discussing the lack of representation of latinas in Hip-Hop. From there, we began building on different concepts and the latina symphony was born. As the concept developed, we invited the best and brightest latina rappers to bless the project with their lyrical presence. Respect to Mauikai, La Bruja, Patty Dukes, Barbara La Guerrera, Katana, Mami Montana, and Lah Tere, they did their thing. We've received such an overwhelming response to the "Latina Symphony" that part 2 is currently in the works with a top secret line-up of artists in talks to perform on it. Stay tuned for the "Latina Symphony" Parte Dos/Part 2 coming at you in the very near future.

So what's Next for Alvare?

That's easy: The ultimate takeover! I'm talking music, movies, fashion, tv...everything. Alvare isn't a name; it's a brand that is the product of a well-built team. I've realized that to take over, you need the right people in your corner and I'm thankful for God, My Egguns, and Santos, My Padrino Odun Are, My family, friends, relatives, Magic Star Media, The Clique Management & Legal Group, My people reppin coast to coast from LA to N.Y., and of course, SiTV for reppin' latinos to the fullest. In the immediate future, look out for a new mixtape in the Spring and visit WWW.ALVARE.BIZ for everything Alvare.

Thank you Bro, you are a true inspiration.

Paz y Luz, DJ Disco Wiz
