Codie Wins. Christine Is Devastated.
POSTED October, 18 2009 I was teary eyed throughout this whole episode knowing someone was going to go. Why can’t there be two Model Latinas? Just kidding! It’s a competition.
It was interesting to see the way the girls approached their final challenge. They had two totally different styles. Christine was very serious and looked a little stressed. Codie was way more relaxed; so was her team. She listened to Jocelyn’s ideas before expressing her own and practically had to drag Zuleyka out of bed to help. They were the personification of California and New York, respectively.
It was no surprise that Christine’s team arrived at the stage first to select the rest of their models. Jessica had to wait for Codie’s team to arrive. And you thought Codie wasn’t Latina enough! She was late! How much more Latina can you get?! (I’m Latina. I can say this.)
“It’s perfection or nothing for me,” Christine said. “I’m going to bring it!”
FASHION FINALE
Ellie looked lovely when she brought up celebrity judges Jennifer Gimenez, Jai Rodriguez and Jorge Ramon, and Q Management’s Jeffrey Kolsrud. Tension filled the air when she pitted Codie from Sunny Cali against Christine from the fashion capital of the world.
Christine messed up by not coming out first on the runway. She chose to be the second model on the runway. “It’s her show!” Jeffrey commented. “I mean she looks beautiful, but…”
Codie looked stunning. She was her usual relaxed, confident self, but her show had a few glitches: a long gap between models and Zuleyka’s wardrobe malfunction. Hint: nipple covers.
The judges were torn between Christine, who is role model material, and Codie, who’s the whole package. In the end, it was Codie’s show that won the judges over. The goofy bombshell from San Diego is the new Model Latina!
“My life just changed forever,” Codie said.
It was hard to watch Christine lose. She really thought she had this! Watch her exit below.

Christine, You are excellent! I followed all the contest, and I saw how little by little you stood up in front of everyone. I personally loved your charisma, your faith, your motivation, your spontaneous way to solve problems. You are simply amazing... and you are a WINNER for me and for many people who saw you, and saw your value and talent.
I am 100% Latina and I feel so proud of you and I bet there are many girls like me who feel the same, that you, a Latina represented us with your unique enthusiasm and beauty!
Exito y buen animo... eres una estrella!
