Hip Hop, Politricks and Bu***… (Part One)

If you're intelligent and you find yourself on the phone with a respected elder - namely Ernie Paniccioli - you just listen... You don't speak, you don't interrupt and you try not to miss anything while taking notes.

In the award winning film about Ernie's life, The Other Side of Hip Hop, Afrika Bambaataa states, "When I look at our great brother Ernie. I look at a brother who is a light which was sent from the supreme force down to this planet - so called earth - to wake up as many people as possible."

Ernie has lectured in over 200 venues, most recently Harvard, on issues ranging from Hip Hop to Human Rights and Native Rights and we covered most of those topics on Friday night during a two-hour phone call.

It was unquestionably the most stimulating, thought provoking conversation I've ever shared with another human being. Thus the statement by Bambaataa was proven true... I was enlightened to say the least.

When I asked him to check out one of my political blogs on SiTV and provide guidance, he simply sent me a note that read, "Why do we as a so called Democracy even have to think about bloodlines? Decades of two family rule... Bush and Clinton..."

Over the weekend I spent a lot of time researching the Clinton and Bush families and I found some very interesting things that I had never bothered to think about in the past.

Sure the variables of the problem were already there but I had never bothered trying to figure out the final equation. So here's the math:

George H. W. Bush was the President of the United States of America from January 20, 1989 - January 20, 1993. (4 years)

William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton was the President of the United States of America from January 20, 1993 - January 20, 2001. (8 years)

George W. Bush will prove to be the President of the United States of America from January 20, 2001 - January 20, 2009. (8 years)

They've already got the two decades locked in and if Hillary Rodham Clinton was to become our 44^th President of these United States of America she could theoretically hold office from January 20, 2009 - January 20, 2017. (Another 8 years)

Do we really live in a democracy or has the wool been pulled over all of our eyes for far too long?

A Hillary victory would mean 3 decades of 2 family rule over this country.

Does this make anyone other than me feel like we've been living under the colonial rule of the Bush and Clinton families?

By 2017, Jenna Bush, Barbara Bush or Chelsea Clinton would surely be ready to take the reigns of the presidency and run us into the 4^th decade of 2 family rule. I'm sure the plans are being made as we speak.

"Don't worry ladies... If you lose in Florida we'll change the vote count so that you really win..."

OK, so maybe now I'm sounding a bit too much like a loony conspiracy theorist, you be the judge.

On the real I wouldn't have a problem with any of this if it wasn't for the fact that this country seems to be so upside down, so twisted and so messed up.

Let it be known that if any of this plays out over the next few years it was a Hip Hop elder who introduced me to the Politricks and Bushit of this great United States of America!
