Mar Adentro--A Poem

I watched Mar Adentro or The Sea Inside one day, and I was inspired to write a poem w/ the same title. But this poem is more about me than it is about the movie. The movie is great by the way...2005 Best Foreign Film Academy Award winner!

 

running, running
through the forest
the thick, thick forest,
lost.
climbing, climbing
up the slippery slope
and into the cavern
the dark, dark cavern
scared.
searching, searching
within the unknown
closer to the unknown
the water flows.
but where is the source?
